Zen Fuzz x Slownormals Collab on 'Lightning'

Hello!

This track was a collaboration that started in December of 2024. Slownormals who I met at the Bent // Broken Circuit Bent Festival reached out to me with a track of dynamic static, a recording from some of his bent instruments & told me to use it how I want... as I was listening to it I was reading through some of my poems, this one had been sitting in a book for years, and it felt right so I went with it. I then added layers of strings, bass, piano & synth... this was the result! I spent a day recording all the layers.

A song that reflects some of the shut down I had been feeling & this moment was the beginning of connecting & reaching out again. Thanks for reaching out ‪Slownormals!

And though I finished recording this in December of 2024 I just made this video to accompany it & this is the first time it's been released online! I had fun recording in one of the many storms this winter... some solo adventures caught on camera and turned into art. I find the peace in the snowscapes. So enjoy!
