'[somethings] Got To Give' release & Sept 26th show
Zen Fuzz: Out take from making the music video for 'Got To Give'

This song is from the new album Phenomenology.

This song is vocally dynamic, persistent & haunting. Gritty & operatic. Like some of the other tracks on the album its lyrics are situationally vage- could be a personal relationship or could be the one we have with those who govern us. Maybe both.

This music video was shot in April '26. Mostly shot on location in Fairmount Park Philadelphia. Directed, edited, wardrobe & song (performance/production/writing) by Jenny Lee Maas. Filmed by Tom Halbiger & Jenny Lee Maas on an unusually cold spring night.

The concept for this video was the idea of a jewelry box ballerina coming to life singing haunting and beautiful melodies, singing like a siren of warning to all the troubled things: relationships with each other, with nature, with government.

We have performed this live a few times with different set ups & arrangements... it's always nice to hear how it translates.

I (Jenny) wrote this song on synths so these variations differ but I love them all):

Unfurl, take your power back, Unfurl.

Second guess my second guess... second guess my wait a sec!

Somethin's got to give!

One last thing... I feel funny about this, but I entered this competition and if I win it would certainly help me grow my businesses and ease some worries. You can vote daily, until the contest is up, you do not have to buy anything. Google said it's legit, so here's to hoping that's right lol I know since people can buy votes it's questionable but figured I'd try. Anyway, if you like hitting buttons on the internet on a daily basis, here's an opportunity to lol

Peace,

xo
